Apple Beats by Dre X Alex ‘Defer’ Kizu

Celebrated street artist, Alex ‘Defer’ Kizu created a bespoke letter pattern in his signature tag, depicting a list of famous LA neighborhoods. The pattern was used to wrap the All Star Weekend custom headphone. We gifted the headphones to NBA All Star Athletes, in custom cases featuring Defer’s lettering and explaining the concept behind the artist and his work. We launched the weekend at a Hollywood record store where we hosted a panel about the evolution of the LA Arts scene with artists Mike Miller, Estevan Oriol and Defer.
